3 more days!

time really flies when you are doing your stuffs... the last i remembered... it was november and now in "3 days time" it is gonna be Year 2009!

hmmm... there are load of memories for me this year... like the sign of "yin & yang" there is balance in the my life... good & bad... for my own rating... i felt that there are more good things for me than bad ones...

and for Y 2009...i believe that great things will be happening to me... just need to feel it as if i have it... that's all...it is easy! U guys & gals out there can do the same!hehehe

to my dear BFF TML...thanks for pushing me and sharing "the secret" with me plus reminding me that i need to update my blog/s more regularly...can't wait to see you this weekend! i miss U and i miss you guys & gals, can't wait to see U all!

to all my great teachers of life out there...thanks for the guidance, patience, care, and the things that you had done/going to do for me... now & in future...really appreciate it!

it's halloween + boozing nite + 10th anniversary @ Carmen’s Bayview Georgetown!

has been awhile since de last i went out with de guys on de occasion to just party!

been looking forward to this event though! arrived there as the place is warming up! u sees games, DJs, musicians & dances!...while for us it was like pure boozing, shake here shake there, let down your hair!

least but not least... it was a relaxing frightening nite(halloween ma... what do u expect)!

rated a great nite! hehe...

life out from de island ...

i always wonder how would it feels when are away from your hometown for work... it like little field mouse visiting the city...

times are different now, may think there is an enormous leap for me...but things are not that bad...as long as you are willingly to learn & do de things... life still goes on...

had surveyed a week in the city... n looking forward for more challenges in life...hehe

de week was like...chasing flights & time... hoping on de train/lrt...hmmm... lrt that was packed like sardines...

moving along...going everywhere with your luggage @ stations & malls...walking around malls & sneaking around taking pictures in malls... that’s life in a fast moving city away from home...really misses my bed!

days without daylight n nite!

time really passes like U don’t feels it is daylight or nite!

suddenly when U put on your breaks… it is like the end of the month! then the whole whole routine start again…on the new month…

waking up…it almost de yearend… U see ever1 is busy clearing annual leaves, prepping up to meet de dateline of 2008!

looking back exactly this 1 year on board with de new landlords… make me gain more knowledge in life and in scope of de building n a taste of what is like to work as a marketing person for a funded building…

our perception is de grass is always greener at another end… when reality hits…it is de same but how we see it @ that moment!

therefore we need to seize de day!

that’s my piece & i’m gonna have it! that’s my choice...

choices...in life we have choices to make things happen... sometimes we are too blind to see things that are in front of us...n take things for granted...some things won’t be there to wait for U...like time & opportunity!

U are de only 1 that can make de changes...U are de 1 that can make it happen...as long as U choose your path...

in life we will meet loads/lots of different individual...definitely will cross path with positive/negative minded person...decision decision decision...make whatever U think U can be comfortable with as U need to answer & be responsible to your own action!

as in life...love...work...all...U only have 1 life...make it great...live it well!

aftermath : dinner cum party

happy happy happy! what a turn out! it was a tiring but it was worth my time to organise this event ~ cheers!

let me see, Sunday 5th October ... start my day with tim sum b’fast with mum & tai yee poh (typ) @ town... then went to pick up so stuff & more stuff for tonight’s dinner...

let me have a quick check on the menu...western & a mini mini BBQ of satay / sausages / corn...
hmmm...what’s on western menu...

1) spaghetti with mince chicken
2) roast lamb & chicken
3) bake baby potatoes & carrot
4) seafood pasta in white sauce
5) broccoli & cauliflower sauté
6) red wine prawn & pea
7) nasi tomatoes & curry chicken
8) garlic bread toast
9) chicken pandan
10) garden salad
11) mix tropical fruit jelly
12) cream puff
13) and my birthday cake~ moist chocolate mint
14) and finally chilled/warm H20...soft drinks...beers...wines & hard liquors

at the strike of dinner time, 7pm, my family & friends started to arrive n alamak i was not ready yet as ... my invitation state 8.30pm...panic...take a deep breath...cool down

still panic... my mini mini BBQ was about flicking away burning the charcoal & food not all food is on the table yet...calm down....hoo ooo...thank GOD that my cousins arrived first before any other guests... Jacky (trained organiser on functions) was appointed to be my personal chief of BBQ area... well done Jacky, U has ensured that every1 have hot satay & cooked sausages...hehehe

anyhow... food & drinks were served and every1 managed to have a good meal...it’s was a family gathering, friends catching up with old & new friends...my three boys also busy entertaining...
all in all everything went on smoothly...great!

PS:- special thanks to every1 that had assist me to make this day a memorable day for me... mum, TYP & Uncle J for everything, Atok for your cooking your delicious nasi tomatoes ayam...Kenny for running the some errand...

to my family & friends...thank U for your present @ my dinner...your ang pows n gifts...

walking zombie

yikes… what have i done? When U stayed awake till dawn… this is what U’ll get… a blur case person coming to work on the next day… i actually thought that it was a Monday, but actual fact it is Friday!

so many holidays in between… makes U really feels that it is a different week…i’m not complaining but this really mess up my routine…

anyhow… survived yesterday with loads of things… from work to personal… reaching home at early dawn of today…sleepy… zzz

next thing U know…. It’s…today…a brand new Saturday… means working half day, day to clear this week stuff & prepare for next week, eve of my dinner…

oops!…better get back to work now…need to get all of this done by 1pm… chop chop!

pre-dinner preparation

i'm going “kah bong” aka blur blur... dinner is on Sunday... sorting out the invitation : who will i be inviting, RSVP & de food list ... when u stop doing these kind of preparing for ages this is what U will get... damn hard...

this year will be the different one, as it is mine first kind of major cook out for my family, relatives & friends...imagine this...the pressure is on me... lucky me, my mum is such a great cook... some day as my family puts it:-

“cheryl! U got to learn it as it’s a heritage recipes of nyonya & your mum's cooking! It’s your heritage!”

my answers would be “ya ya... will do”

so this would be the first step for me to learn some tips from my mom on this coming Sunday...hope that this goes on well...hehe

raya holiday/working...

i was working today eventhough it was a PH for most Malaysian... what to do? works comes first...anyhow managed to pay visits to relative & friends who is celebrating Raya... ;)

At this time, what can we do?
1) to seek forgiveness & to sharing
2) to meet up with relatives & friends
3) to enjoy the food & cookies

lastly on the way back from visit...my old faithful madza, suddenly went died... lucky for me... a few friends & my papa...came over to my rescue... thanks for all your help ... in presents or in thoughts, U are appreciated...

Life is wonderful when the least U expect... something good appears ... cheers!

my first...

hmmm... in life there is always the first time... when we start something new or somethings ... I always wonder, when will be my first step to create a blog... Here I am... typing a few new words on my first and only blog...

I remember.. my best friend Mei Lee told me... years back in 2001... that she had created a blog... looking back her blog recently had make me feels like it was yesterday only...Our memories together, our first cook out, our going for classes together and the things that we had past thru together, seem so fresh, so yesterday.... unfortunately it all history now... so life goes on...

For me, this will mark my life before I turn 29 in few days time... looking forward for a wonderful day and days ahead!
